Paving Estimator/Project Manager
Location: Hillsborough, New Jersey
We are looking for a skilled Paving Estimator/Project Manager to join our team. In this dual role, you will estimate costs for paving projects and oversee their execution to ensure successful, on-time, and on-budget project delivery. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in both estimating and managing paving projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 8 – 10 years of experience in paving estimating and project management.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., B2W, or similar).
- Strong understanding of paving materials, processes, and standards.
- Demonstrated experience in managing construction projects from inception to completion.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- OSHA 30 certification (preferred) or willingness to obtain it.

Key Responsibilities:
- Estimating
- Review project plans and specifications to develop time, cost, material, and labor estimates.
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs for paving materials and labor.
- Obtain and analyze pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Submit accurate bid proposals, ensuring competitive pricing and detailed cost breakdowns.
- Collaborate with the project management team to strategize competitive bids and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Project Management:
- Lead paving projects from start to finish, ensuring all aspects of the project are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, address issues, and ensure safety and compliance standards are met.
- Maintain up-to-date project documentation and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets and timelines, adjusting plans as needed to meet objectives and client expectations.
